He's Finally Here!! Kaleohano Akahai Gonsalves

Kaleohano Akahai Gonsalves
Born on Sunday, May 2, 2010
at 7:02 pm
Weighing 8 lbs 15.7 ounces

After 18 long hours of labor, Kaleohano finally arrived and I thought he would never come. I thought with each child, labor would get shorter...NOT! He definitely took the longest! But we are so glad that I was able to have him naturally and that a c-section was not needed even though he was so huge! And of all days to choose to join us...he came on his daddy's birthday! Happy Birthday Matt! We are so grateful he was born healthy and strong! So far he has been a very mellow baby and sleeps through all the noise his 3 big brothers make all day!

Weighing in at 8 lbs and 15.7 ounces...just 0.3 ounces shy of 9 pounds! Big Boy!

Now I'm all clean with my little blue hat.

Jen was Kaleohano's nurse for the night. She was so nice!

Dr. Littler was at the hospital since 3am on Sunday morning May 2nd. She stayed the entire day and finally delivered him at 7:02 pm that evening, still bright-eyed and bushy tailed! I could never be an OB and keep those work hours!

Aunty Jill came by to bring daddy some dinner and boy was she in for a surprise when she saw that Kaleohano had arrived! Here they are only 30 minutes after he was born!

I had 3 nurses take care of me for my 18 hours of labor. Cathy, my day shift nurse, was there her entire 12 hour shift. I was so glad she got to see Kaleohano's birth at 7:02pm, just as her shift was ending! She was great!

Proud Papa!
